This presentation will look at how the Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) role has grown over the years, helping to tackle staff shortages and support career development in nursing. The focus of this is exploring the benefits of involving ANPs in clinical research—like improving trial recruitment, encouraging nurse-led studies, and enhancing patient experience. This approach fits well with the NIHR’s aim to modernise NHS services and deliver research more efficiently.
