The following schematic describes the reporting arrangements for the JRO.

The JRO Management Group is accountable for the strategic and operational oversight of the Joint Research Office. It regularly reports on progress to King's College London's College Research Committee and Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust's Research and Development Board as well as providing informal updates to the King's Health Partners Board.

The day to day operations of the JRO are the responsibility of the JRO Director and the JRO Operations Group. The JRO Operations Group can establish additional work stream Task and Finish groups to design, test and evaluate solutions designed to accelerate the initiation and delivery of translational and clinical research across the partnership.

Overall progress will be monitored via a dedicated JRO Strategic Dashboard that is reviewed regularly by the JRO Management Group.

Decision Making - Key Principles within the JRO

  • Key decisions are co-created/developed by the JRO Operations Group comprising content experts from across the King’s-GSTT partnership. There will also be regular touchpoints throughout the year to obtain additional insight/perspectives from King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust R&D Directorates as well as with researcher representation via the JRO Stakeholder Advisory Group
  • Decisions are proposed by the Operations Group and via the JRO Director, sent to the JRO Management Group for consideration and approval.
  • All approved decisions are ratified by King’s College Research Committee and GSTT Research and Development Board.
